Q – How do I purchase a digital subscription?

A – Subscription to the digital edition of First News is available on a monthly recurring payment, or as a 6 month or 12 month one-off manual payment. You can find all of our subscription options here: https://subscribe.firstnews.co.uk/

 

Q – Can I purchase a digital subscription for my school? 

A – We offer several different subscription options for schools, and can tailor a school subscription to your specific requirements. To find out more about school subscriptions or to visit the First News Education website click here

Q – What do I need to access the digital edition? (devices/hardware)

A –  The digital edition can be accessed on our brand new app which is available for:

 

Android supported smartphones and/or tablet devices (e.g. Nexus, HTC and Galaxy devices) 

or

Apple iOS supported smartphones and/or tablet devices (e.g. iPhone and iPad)

 

Q – How do I get the app on my device?

When you open the app for the first time or if you have logged out previously, you will be asked to enter your web ID before you can access the digital content. You will receive your unique web ID in your welcome email after you sign up for a subscription.

 

Q – How can I view the app on my laptop or desktop computer?

A –  You can also access the digital edition online via the web reader. To view the web reader please click here

Q –  Where can I find my subscriber number and/or Web ID?

AYou will receive your unique web ID in your welcome email after you sign up for a subscription, and in subsequent emails from us.  If you have previously opted out of receiving emails from us please get in touch at [email protected] and we can help you get your web ID.

 

Q – How can I cancel my subscription?

A – If your subscription is on a monthly recurring payment you can pause or cancel your subscription at any time via the Recurly account management service. Please click here to manage your account.

Q – I have a First News iTunes subscription. How do I cancel it?

Q – How do I purchase a print subscription?

A – First News subscriptions are available in three term lengths – 13 week, 6 months or 12 months. All of our print subscription options can be ordered online here: https://subscribe.firstnews.co.uk/#subscribe

 

Q – Can I subscribe to both the print and digital editions?

A – Yes! We call this a bundle subscription. It is available to order via the same website as the print only subscription. Just select the Newspaper & DIgital option. More FAQ’s specific to bundle subscriptions can be found below.

Q – How often is the print edition of First News published?

A – First News is a weekly publication. We publish 52 issues a year.

 

Q – Do you offer a trial before I commit to a full paid subscription ?

A – Yes! We offer a trial of 4/6 (tbc) issues for free. After the trial  the subscription will step up to £25.99 every 13 weeks. You can cancel at any time. One free trial per household, per year.

 

Q – When will I receive my first issue?

A – Your first issue will usually be dispatched within 2 weeks. After your order has been processed, a confirmation letter or email will be sent. This will include details about when your first issue of First News will be sent to you.

 

Q – Why hasn’t my issue arrived yet?

A – FIrst News is dispatched every Wednesday, with the aim of customers receiving their copy by Friday. Sometimes there are delays with the Royal Mail service, and you may receive your copy a day or two late. If you are continually experiencing delays, or your copy arrives damaged please contact us at [email protected] 

 

Q – How do I notify you about a change of delivery address?

A – To let us know about a change of address you can do it online. To access the Manage My Account page click here

 Alternatively, you can contact the  Customer Services team at [email protected] or call 0330 333 0186  +44 (0)330 333 0186 for overseas subscriptions. If you are moving to another country you must call or email to inform us.

 

Q – Does First News offer international print subscriptions?

A – First News does ship to selected countries outside of the UK, but unfortunately we cannot deliver to anywhere within the EU or to Hong Kong. Although we cannot offer print subscriptions in these countries, we do offer digital subscriptions to all of our worldwide customers. 

 

Q – How do I cancel my First News print subscription?

Q – Can I buy First News from a newsagent?

A – You can buy First News from many newsagents. If you would like to find your nearest newsagent which stocks First News, please click here

Q – What is a bundle subscription?

A – A bundle subscription includes the weekly delivery of the print edition of First News plus access to all of the content and features of the digital edition via the First News app.

 

Q – How do I purchase a  bundle subscription?

A – Bundle subscriptions are available to order via the same website as the print only subscription.

Q – Can I submit a story to be included in First News?

A –  To submit a story to First News email your report (including pictures) to [email protected] Don’t forget to include your name and age (and your school’s name and address for school news reports).

By submitting a story, you give First News consent to publish details and images of anyone included in the report.
